Crutch words are things we don’t really mean to say that don’t add value to the sentence. Things like uh, um, like, right, you know, so, and well are crutch words we all say.  IRL we might not notice them, but in a podcast, they can be quite annoying to listeners – yikes!  I’ve processed episodes that have had over 500 crutch words in just a 60-minute recording (And yes, it was so distracting that I just HAD to start counting them to make a game out of it. You don’t want listeners doing this to your episodes!)

A dog barks, the a/c clicks on, the kids are playing in the next room, your phone rings… get where I’m going? Stuff happens! There’s always a tiny bit of room noise no matter what, and I’m here to make sure your published product sounds as clean and clear as possible so listeners focus on your message, not what’s going on in the background!

Hey, you’ve got a little spit in your mouth there. Ha ha, we all do! But listeners DON’T want to hear it smacking around inside their earbuds – yuck!

The time you spend between pressing record and sitting to say “Hello!” doesn’t need to be published.
